We invite you to copy and paste the following text whenever you receive an email from a company that prominently displays its Trustpilot rating.

U.K. Campaign to Cancel Trustpilot Subscriptions

“We noticed that you prominently display your high Trustpilot rating. In our view, this demonstrates only one thing: that you have subscribed to Trustpilot’s paid service to remove negative reviews while keeping only positive ones.

Promoting a Trustpilot rating has the opposite effect of the trust you are trying to build. Therefore, if your goal is to establish genuine trust with your prospects and customers, we encourage you to cancel your subscription with Trustpilot and stop highlighting the ratings it assigns to you.

The Financial Times has published an article describing the company’s practices as “mafia-like” (https://www.ft.com/content/5b0765ef-5a81-4388-8d0f-9f3cd2e04c3d?syn-25a6b1a6=1), and a group of around ten entrepreneurs has launched the website www.fake-pilot.com to expose what they consider to be the company’s practices.”
